When i was younger, I thought youd always be there. I always looked forward to you. It would always be sunny and bright. And fresh. I could close my eyes and feel you there. I wish you were here now. So that if i closed my eyes and opened them youd be here. But you wont be. Just one more time would keep everything bright so longer. I can appreciate it now. But you wont be there, not the same way. Yet, you will be there, just not in the same way. In new ways, encouraging ways that call me forward. Maybe it wont be like that everytime. I just have to hold out, and be ready for when that new day comes.
