Here is my little Christianity shrine. I liked making little shrines a lot for my main page, and I felt like I should make one just for Christianity. Making one is funny in my head since it sounds like a christian minecraft server thing to do, but it really is a large part of my life so I think it deserved its own page.
Ive struggled and battled with my faith plenty, but as time goes on I realize its the most consistent part of my life. Ive gotten too good for it, ive gotten low enough to doubt it, and ive gotten distracted enough to forget it. But everytime I come back to it, because each time ive brushed off a dusty bible and cracked it open, ive found more truth in it than anywhere else. That has been whats always captivated me, a book that more perfectly encapsulates and reveals reality than anything Ive found from the past to the present. Its so simple and still so impenetrable, enlightening and still confusing.
I could spin my wheels over what ive experienced, what Ive learned, what I think and so on. But once you accept Christ as the truth, everything from then on will sing to it. Hes the way, the truth, the light, the beginning and the end, the son, the savior, the deliverer, the shepherd, the cornerstone, the king, the logos, the I AM. Its nearly unbelievable you can know God himself, buts its true and he even wants to know you- no exceptions. Believe me.
Regardless, I really enjoy thinking and learning about this whole Christianity thing, lol. Im not systematic about it or anything, at best im knowledgable but hopefully I can get there someday. If youre a Christian or would like to talk about it as well, feel free to contact me about it. I got a guestbook on my stuff page and my neocities profile is linked to the neocities button on my index page. Thanks for reading this and checking it out!
You can study the bible on your own, but its a complicated book and its study has been going on for thousands of years. Since it doesnt explain or describe everything about everything in explicit detail, people have been able to twist and manipulate its words.
I think the resources ive linked are solid, but the best thing you can do is find a solid church. Now, youve got to a little research there too, since not all churches are what they seem. I mention the Nicene creed below, but throughout all of history the main denominations and most studied scholars have agreed there are some points a faith must agree on to be called Christian. The trinity, the sufficiency of the cross, ect. So that makes some religions like mormonism and jehovas witneses, and muslims non-christians even though they may believe in Jesus. Many American churches are non denominational but technically arent christains because they deny necessary truths. So it does take some research to choose a good church but theres plenty of help out there. Including me :D

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
Amen.
